BM86 is a foliar applied nutritional product that is used in fruit and nut crops to aid and enhance production yields and quality. Replicated experimental trials with BM86 have been conducted on 9 Almond varieties over a 4 year period in different regions of California and 19 locations to evaluate yield and size versus the untreated blocks.
BM86 is a foliar nutrient spray derived from seaweed. It is used extensively in Almonds to enhance the development of flowers, pollination, and the first stages in the formation of nuts. The action is related to the elicitor effects of the active ingredient in BM86 which stimulates the production of polyamines. These are important in flowering and fruit development.
BM86 application is sprayed at early bloom which coincides with the grower’s fungicide &/or nutrient spray program. The second application is sprayed at full bloom which again, may coincide with the grower’s subsequent fungicide &/or nutrient spray. If only one spray is going to be applied during the bloom period, a single application of BM86 can be used.
BM 86 is a clear liquid product and is very user friendly and will not block spray nozzles or hoses.
BM86 is rainfast in a very short time, usually less than 3 hours after application.
Due to the potential increase in yield the cost of applying BM86 is a very small investment for compared to the returns that you’ll be receiving.
